Flavours of Muskoka is an annual event, called an "amazing graze, the premier gourmet food and wine event of the Muskoka season." During its previous years, it has been a sold out event. The monies raised have contributed close to $200,000 to help make a difference in our community. We are expecting this our tenth delicious fundraising event to be even bigger and better.
Every year, Flavours invites Muskoka's top hotels, restaurants, and chefs to set up a table and offer samples from their menus. In addition, a select group of Ontario's wineries and breweries are invited to sample their wares. Last year, Flavours obtained the participation of over 40 restaurants and wineries.
Flavours is a highly anticipated event in Muskoka, with over 400 people attending every year. Taking place at the beginning of the busy summer season, it offers a unique opportunity for you to raise your profile in this lucrative market. It is a prestigious and extravagant event attended by a large cross section of cottagers and business, social and community leaders - a great venue in which to showcase your products.
Flavours of Muskoka 2010 takes place on Tuesday, June 29th at the Rosseau, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Minett, Ontario . This event supports the Kaleidoscope Arts in Education programs for children here in Muskoka. Kaleidoscope has become the primary mission of the Muskoka Lakes Music Festival.

Kaleidoscope develops innovative and integrated arts programming for schools, children and teachers in the Muskoka area. By connecting schools and local children with professional artists in the community, Kaleidoscope strives to enrich students' learning experiences and teachers' expertise in the arts. Our artistic workshops awaken creativity, celebrate cultural diversity, and deepen awareness and understanding of complex issues. In 2008 the MLMF became a partner with ArtsSmarts an international arts education and research organization.
Through workshops in local schools, the annual Kaleidoscope Children's Festival, teacher professional development workshops, a children's choir and summer camp programs, children and teachers can participate in innovative arts-based projects led by professional performing and visual artists. Kaleidoscope's growing roster of artists includes painters, printmakers, carvers, potters, dancers, musicians, actors, fabric artists, photographers, and sculptors, all from the Muskoka area.
